What to Expect
What Self-service Laundry Looks Like Here
Here we'll walk you through what a laundry day at The Laundry Basket actually looks like. You'll see how payment works — quarters and tokens, three change machines, no app and no account.
You'll see what our machines can handle, from work clothes to a king comforter or a horse blanket, plus the things other laundromats charge extra for or won't allow at all: free hot water, dryer-only loads, an attendant on duty every hour we're open. By the end, you'll know what to expect before you load up the car.

Clean & Maintained Machines Give Hemet Families a Reliable Laundry Day
Ever walked into a laundromat near me and seen half the washers with 'out of order' signs? Not here. On any given day, 99% of our machines are running. We fix our own equipment in-house. Problems get handled fast.
Cleanliness is key. You won't find a cleaner laundromat in Hemet. Our floors and machines get wiped down constantly, not just at closing time. And an attendant is always on-site. They keep an eye on things and help if you need it. You can't beat that.
This place wasn't always like this. It used to have a 2.5-star reputation, known for loitering and drug activity. Nobody wanted to bring their laundry basket here. We rebuilt it all. The Hemet PD even gave us a plaque recognizing our support. That says a lot about how far this spot has come, it's a real transformation.
Safe at Any Hour
You're a senior, a parent, or anyone doing laundry alone. You want a well-lit and secure space while you wait.
We Back it Up
Security cameras cover our laundromat. Good lighting throughout. An attendant is on-site at night, so you're never alone in the building.
No Loitering
Inside our doors, we don't allow loitering. Longtime Hemet residents remember safety issues at this location in the past. We've turned that around.
Trustworthy
Safety isn't an extra at The Laundry Basket. It's part of what makes this a laundromat in Hemet that families and regulars keep coming back to, day or night.

We're here for you
Broken Machine Backup in Hemet
Your dryer broke at home, but your washer still works. Or maybe your washer broke too, and you need a full wash-and-dry cycle. Either way, you don't need to start over here.
Bring your wet laundry straight to our dryers, no washing required first. Or run your whole load through our washers and dryers while you wait on a repair at home.
Not every laundromat allows dryer-only loads. It's the solution to a common need in Hemet and San Jacinto. We are the backup option home-owners and renters can count on any day of the week.
We hope you'll come back for bulky items you can't wash at home, too.
cash-based system
Coin-Operated Laundry and Custom Tokens
You want simple, cash-based laundry. No cards, no apps, no accounts to manage.
A lot of customers tell us they're tired of laundromats going cashless. We don't do that here.
- Quarters accepted at every machine
- Custom tokens, no card or app needed
- Change machines on-site
See our full pricing breakdown for washer and dryer costs. Your tokens also work at our self-service laundromat in San Jacinto, 3.8 miles and a 9-minute drive away.
