Quick summary
A Self-Service Laundromat for Neighbors Around Hemet Golf Club
Most homes around Hemet Golf Club have a washer of their own. So why would anyone near the course need a laundromat? Usually it’s the jobs a home machine can’t handle well. That means the king comforter that won’t fit, the washer that quit right before company came, or the bedding from the guest room after the grandkids go home.
The Laundry Basket is a self-service laundromat at 145 E Stetson Ave in Hemet. It’s air-conditioned, it’s kept clean all day, and an attendant is on duty to help. We’re glad to be one of the places residents around the course count on, and you can see the other communities we serve across the valley.

When a Home Washer Isn’t Enough

Having a washer at home doesn’t mean it can do every job. Here’s when our neighbors near the golf course usually come in:
- Comforters, duvets, and mattress pads that are too bulky for a home drum
- A washer or dryer that broke down and is waiting on a repair
- A big batch of guest linens after family visits
- Summer laundry days, when a garage laundry setup gets too hot to stand in
Sometimes you just want one trip that takes care of all of it. Our building is fully air-conditioned, so you can do laundry in comfort on a 100-degree Hemet afternoon.

Small Loads and Big Bedding, Both Welcome
Not every visit is a mountain of laundry. Plenty of our customers bring a few towels and one set of sheets. Our smallest washers are double loaders that hold up to 20 lbs and cost $3.25, so you’re not paying for a giant machine to wash a small load.
Bedding is a different story. A queen or king comforter needs room to move so the soap rinses out and it dries evenly. Our 4-load washer ($6.25) and 6-load washer ($8.50) give heavy bedding that space. Dryers run on quarters, and each quarter buys a set number of minutes, so you pay for only the drying time you need.
Before you come in, AARP has a short video worth a couple of minutes: these laundry myths could be ruining your clothes.

Someone Here to Help
Our attendant is on duty all day, apart from a short lunch break. If you haven’t used a laundromat in years, that helps more than you’d think. They can show you which washer fits your load, how the change machines work, and where to fold. We also have three change machines on-site for breaking bills into quarters or tokens.
The attendants also keep the place clean throughout the day. They wipe down the washers after every load, and they keep the floors and folding tables clean.

Prefer to Skip the Washing?
Some days you don’t want to do laundry at all, and that’s fine. Our Fluff & Fold drop-off service washes, dries, and folds for you. It’s priced by the pound with a 15 lb minimum:
- Next-day: $1.50/lb (pickup after 12 pm the next day)
- Same-day: $2.25/lb (drop off before 11 am, pick up after 6 pm)
Fluff & Fold accepts cash, credit/debit, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Cash App. Cards carry a 1.25% convenience fee. The self-serve washers and dryers take quarters and tokens only.
easy directions
Getting Here from Hemet Golf Club
From Hemet Golf Club and Four Seasons, head east on Florida Avenue (Hwy 74) toward downtown. Turn right on State Street, then left on Stetson Avenue. We’re at 145 E Stetson Ave, Hemet, CA 92543, with parking in front and in back.
We’re open until midnight every day. If you’d rather see what’s inside before you make the drive, you can take a look first, or call or text us at (951) 286-4444.
The self-serve washers and dryers run on quarters and tokens. They don’t take cards, there’s no app, and there’s no online booking, so nothing stands between you and the machine you need. Only have a twenty? Our three change machines on-site make breaking a larger bill easy. Tokens bought here also work at our sister location, The Laundry Hamper in San Jacinto, about 3.8 miles away (roughly a 9-minute drive).

Forgot your detergent? Our vending machine has you covered. There’s also a snack and drink machine for when a big load takes longer than you planned. For years, proceeds from that machine have helped sponsor three children abroad, so a cold drink here quietly does some good.
Have a question before you load the car? Call or text us at (951) 286-4444 and an attendant can help. We’re open every day until midnight, so there’s room in your schedule whether you’re coming after work, after dinner or after a day at the park.
