Empty Pockets
Please empty pockets before washing or drying. Items like nails, screws, and other metal objects can cause costly damage to washer and dryer drums.
Overloading
If clothes spin as one big lump, they are not getting properly cleaned and will not dry effectively. OR consistently.
Pet Beds / Pet Hair
Please shake off pet hair prior to arrival. It clogs our equipment and transfers to other customers' clothes - especially tough for those with allergies.
Drying for Best Results
Give bulky items and full loads the time (and attention) they need to dry completely.
Drying Time
Large loads need more time - anything won't dry in 30 minutes if overloaded. Split bulky loads across cycles for complete, even drying time.
Comforters / Pillows
Comforters and pillows need supervision to dry fully - bulky items must be rotated mid-cycle. Avoid mixing with clothing, which can get trapped and stay damp.
Washing It Right
The right amount of soap, softener, and settings gets clothes cleaner in fewer cycles.
Too Much Soap
More soap doesn't mean cleaner clothes. Excessive soap needs extra rinse cycles to fully wash out - otherwise your laundry comes out still soapy after one rinse.
Scent Beads
Scent beads belong in the wash only - never in soapboxes or dryers. They clog washer drains and dryer filters, keeping machines from drying properly.
Underwire Bras
Please use a mesh bag when washing bras. Without one, underwire can come loose in the wash, clog the drain valve, or slip through drum holes.
Super Wash Option
Machines with an 'Emergency Stop' button also offer a 'Super Wash' option. Select it at the start of the cycle - it adds an extra $0.50 to the cost.
Softener
Softener isn't soap and won't clean your clothes. Make sure you're pouring detergent - not softener - into the soapbox for an effective wash.
